Iberville Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative organization of people sharing a common bond, created for the purpose of promoting thrift and providing a source of credit for provident and productive purposes. IFCU was chartered in June 1958 and formed for the employees of Iberville Parish School Board. The charter has been expanded over the years to include employees of the following: Iberville Parish Council, City of Plaquemine, Town of Maringouin, Town of White Castle, Town of St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office, Iberville Council on Aging, Iberville Parks and Recreation District, Harvest Sugarland, Assumption Parish Waterworks, Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, and Heritage Manor of Napoleonville.
Recently, the charter was again expanded allowing persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in Iberville Parish to join. Also businesses and other legal entities located in Iberville Parish are eligible to join Iberville Federal Credit Union.
